Camp SMART
Camp SMART is an It is a Full-day and 8 hour interdisciplinary enrichment camp for young people throughout the year, especially, during the summer and school breaks. Note: Our Staff consists of PHD and MA instructors and QEP Certified from the best institutions of higher learning (Oakwood University, AAMU, UAH…), retired teachers and student workers and interns.
Camp SMART is a 2 week interdisciplinary enrichment camp for young people.
The camps are designed to provide accuracy and excellence in the following:
(1) Critical Thinking through Creative Writing, Communication, Performing Arts, Problem-Solving, Business Leadership with a focus on Entrepreneurship and Technology,
(2) Critical Thinking through Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (S.T.E.A.M.), Rockets, Robotics and Research as well as
(3) Critical Thinking through Film, Music and Media Production.
The skills mastered in these interdisciplinary curriculums align with the required academic core studies: creativity, scientific research, robotics, strategic thinking and conflict resolution through activities, chess and martial arts, fitness and nutrition.
Our team consists of PHD, MA and QEP Certified educators and instructors from the institutions of higher learning in Madison County (Oakwood University, AAMU, UAH, Calhoun, etc.) along with support from business professionals, engineers, retired teachers and interns.
